Center for Biological Engineering (CBE), founded in February, 2015, was established by merging the former Center for Synthetic Biology Engineering Research and Joint Laboratory for Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). leveraging the research resources of CAS, The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and focusing on "Build life to understand it", CBE conducts fundamental research and product development of TCM. In addition, CBE also actively teams up with enterprises to carry out basic and applied scientific research and promote industrialization-led technology transfer. One member in our team was awarded the leading scientists of Guangzhou, and one received the 2012 Young Scientist Award of Hong Kong and Guangdong Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholars.
