RESEAECH INTERESTINGS

Tissue engineering: Bone regeneration is important for healing of fractures and other diseases with bone loss. Tissue engineering is an effective method in bone repairing by using osteoprogenitor cells (BMSCs), 3D-scaffold. In my lab, we focus on the mechanisms and applications of biodegradable magnesium material as scaffold for bone regeneration.

Peptide ligands and G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs): These receptors play critical physiological roles and the dysfunction of them will result in diseases. Peptides are one group of major ligands of GPCRs. Out of the candidates, we just find a small molecular peptide which can induce beta-cell to produce more insulin. We are looking for the bio-functions of the new peptide in different tissues and system, and also trying to disclose the mechanisms of the peptide and its potential receptor/receptors.
