Ling Yin, Ph.D., Associate Professor. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Transportation and Geographic Information Science(GIS), The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, U.S.A. Her research interests include spatiotemporal data mining, spatiotemporal modeling and simulation, GIS for transportation, 

GIS for public health and time geography. 

She has been the principle investigator and key personnel in a number of projects sponsored by the Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of United States, National High-Technology Project (863), Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, Guangdong International Cooperation Foundation, Shenzhen Basic Research Foundation, Shenzhen 

Transport Committee Foundation and so on. She has published more than 30 academic articles in International Journal of Geographical Information Science, Annals of the 

Association of American Geographer, Journal of Transport Geography, Acta Tropica, Transportation and so on. She has applied for 18 national invention patents in China and

 three of them have been authorized.
