Prof. YUAN Hai, Director of GIAT

Prof. Yuan received his B.S. degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1999,and received his PhD degree in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2005. He worked at Shenzhen institute of advanced technology (SIAT) since 2006, where he served as deputy director of R&D department. He was appointed as deputy director of guangzhou Institute of Advanced Technology (GIAT), one branch institute of SIAT, since 2013 and been promoted as director since 2017.

His research interests include robotics, synthetic biology automation and water purification technology. He has been a Principal Investigator of many projects funded by both government and industries. Based on his research work, he has published several papers and acquired more than 10 patents.
