LIN Chuang

Chuang Lin was born in Heilongjiang Province, Harbin City, P. R. China, in 1978. He received the B.S. degree from the Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, P. R. China, in 2001, the M.S. and Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, P. R. China, in 2004 and 2008, respectively, both in signal processing domain. Currently, he is an assistant professor in Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, P. R. China. From December 2012, he worked as a researcher in the Department of Neurorehabilitation Engineering, Georg-August University. His current research interests include neurorehabilitation engineering, biomedical signal (EEG, EMG) processing, prosthetic hand control, pattern recognition, sparse representation, for example, the sparseness constraint based NMF, L1-norm maximization based manifold learning, L1/L2-norm regulation based regressive manifold learning, etc..

·           1997.08-2001.07, Bachelor Degree in Department of Material Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University. The University is located at Xi'an City, Shanxi Province, P. R. China. During the Bachelor Degree period, I mainly studied the metal material, welding technology.  

·           2002.08-2004.07, M.S. Degree in Department of Electronics and Communication, Harbin Institute of Technology. The University is located at Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, P. R. China. During the M. S. Degree period, I mainly studied the signal processing method, such as, image and video compression, face recognition, image segmentation, image registration, target tracing. 

·           2004.08 -2008.07, Ph. D. Degree in Department of Automatic Test and Control, Harbin Institute of Technology. The University is located at Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, P. R. China. During the Ph. D. Degree, I mainly studied the pattern recognition method, such as manifold learning, kernel learning, sparse representation, information hiding, SAR/ISAR image processing, etc. 

·           2006.03-2006.07, Visiting student in Department of Electronics Engineering National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, Kaohsiung city. China. During the period, I mainly study the information hiding technology.

·           2012.12 - present, researcher for Department of Neurorehabilitation Engineering, Georg-August University.
