Laboratory for Data Mining

Introduction

Shenzhen Key Laboratory for High Performance Data Mining got the shenzhen municipal government funding in September 2010.Established in Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences,its construction period was from 9th, 2010 to 9th, 2012.

The key laboratory passed the assessment of Shenzhen Kechuang Committee and got A in April 2013.In November of the same year,it passed Shenzhen Kechuang Committee's acceptance inspection,rated as outstanding key laboratory.

Shenzhen Key Laboratory for High Performance Data Mining mainly researches data mining algorithms, big data analysis and application platform, to carry out the Internet, travel services, telecommunications and other big data applications, promoting technological innovation, cultivation of talents and industrial development.

The main research areas are "knowledge discovery and data mining", focusing on the technical challenges and application requirements of "big data analysis", including complex data subspace clustering and classification algorithms, large-scale data interactive visual analysis technology, multidimensional analysis and mining of large scale data, data mining and network security technology of cloud computing, large-scale data mining platform based on Internet services, and application technology of industry large data analysis (Internet, power grid, telecommunication and travel, etc.).

1, Key Projects 

1.1 Internet service based BI key technology and system development 

In terms of the application requirement of Shenzhen for massive data analysis and mining technology, this project studies Internet service oriented massive data analysis of high performance BI technology and system, industrial application and promotion. The project has completed the prototypical development of system infrastructure, and carried out various typical application demonstrations, with our developed techniques, on Southern Power Grid's customer segmentation from power time-series data, Huawei's mass production test data analysis and modeling, and implementation of early warning cases, as well as China Reinsurance Medicare anti-fraud systems. 

  

1.2 Key Technology Research, Development and Industrialization on Phishing Websites Detection Under the Cloud Computing Environment 

This project aims at the requirements by banks, online payment, financial securities, e-commerce and other industries, and develops phishing websites detection platform in cloud computing environment. A breakthrough of some key technologies include,
■Phishing website behavior in-depth analysis and mining technologies in cloud computing environment;
■Chinese Phishing website heterogeneous feature extraction technologies in cloud computing environment;
■Internationalized fake domain names detection and phishing host forecasting technologies in cloud computing environment;
■Classifier construction technologies for Chinese phishing website detection in cloud computing environment;
■Clustering technologies for phishing website type recognition in cloud computing environment. 

  

1.3 Technology Research and Development on Mobile Terminals Detection 

This project focuses on developing key technologies for mobile malware detection, constructs data mining models for massive mobile software event sequences, and realizes mobile malware detection methods and new technologies based on mass-event sequence mining.
■Behavior detection methods for mobile software and identification technologies for mobile malware;
■Malicious APP behavior event-sequence representation and extraction methods;
■Mobile terminal phishing detection and mobile payment security fraud detection technologies;
■A set of advanced network security methods and world's advanced level research results. 

2. Enterprise Joint Laboratory

2.1 SIAT-DragonPass Big Data Joint Laboratory on Travel Service

"SIAT-DragonPass Big Data Joint Laboratory on Travel Service'' is co-founded by SIAT and DragonPass. It is one of the rare big data R&D organization on travel service. Our lab was inaugurated on April 16, 2015 at IACDE, SIAT.
Joint lab will take advantage of the operational experiences of DragonPass on high-end travel service in the field of aviation and high speed railway, combine the cutting-edge techniques on big data of IACDE, SIAT, to carry out travel big data research analysis and appliation. Our lab is aimed at the development of application infromation platform on travel service, to enhance the experiences of travellers, and to be the pioneer of high-end travel and tourismservice industry.

2.2 SIAT-Vispractice Trusted Cloud & EC Big Data Lab

Joint Lab will mainly focus on supporting three platforms which include big data operating platform , public cloud operating platform, e-commerce operating platform to research, including: SOA, cloud computing, big data processing and mining, customer behavior analysis, precision marketing, internet applications and so on. And it works on new product development, the establishment of technology platforms and personnel training and other multi-level extensive cooperation, which also includes joint application for funding science and technology projects , etc.

2.3 SIAT-Brightcentury Big Data Lab

Applying cloud computing, big data platform, and internet of things sensors, BRIGHT CENCURY-SIAT BIG DATA LAB collects data for high-end commercial kitchen equipments, including operating frequency, working time, energy consumption, and working environment (drain contamination, temperature, humidity) to build a big data platform to realize equipment maintenance, remote working condition monitoring and precautionary analysis serving for government monitoring department and catering industry. With intelligent management for working condition monitoring, operation data management, equipment maintenance and technical service, traditional kitchen is upgraded to intelligent kitchen management consequently.
