Public Transportation Integrated Intelligent Monitoring System by SIBAT Wins Red Dot Award
Shenzhen Institute of Beidou Applied Technology Co. LTD① (hereinafter referred to as SIBAT) is delighted to announce that its new public transportation integrated intelligent monitoring system has won the Red Dot Award② for design excellence and been recognized as “best-designed brands and communication projects".
This outstanding award is selected by the jury consisting of 24 experts in the areas of product design, communication design, and design concepts. The jury viewed and evaluated a total of 6,992 submitted entries, and ended with presenting the Red Dot Award to SIBAT after intensive deliberation.
With the rapid growth of urban population and worsening separation between work and residence, the motorized travel volume has maintained an upward trend and urban traffic congestion has gradually intensified. New features have emerged-- the daily average passenger capacity of conventional buses, customized buses, rail transit and online car-hailing is continuously increasing, which causes mounting pressure on urban traffic and puts forward a new demand for comprehensive study and supervision of transportation.
The system collects and sorts the data related to the traffic flow of conventional buses, rails, taxis, and online car-hailing vehicles, etc. Through the integration and analysis of multiple spatial and temporal data, the big data monitoring system of traffic operation is built to analyze and present the comprehensive traffic operation situation and pattern. By grasping the trend of public transport passenger flow, transport capacity allocation, unimpeded operation of passageways and other conditions in real time, the system will ultimately provide scientific basis and support for traffic supervision departments to make measured decisions.
The functions of the system include comprehensive passenger flow overview, passenger flow of various traffic modes, passenger flow distribution, dynamic monitoring and change trends at all levels and regions, OD analysis of public transportation travel rules, and correlation analysis of various public transportation modes.
