Opening Ceremony of SIAT - ICMRS Collaborating Center for Translational Medicine Research, April 14, 2018

Recently, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIAT) - International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society (ICMRS) Collaborating Center for translational medicine research was officially established in Shenzhen on April 14, 2018. Dr. ZHENG Hairong, vice president of SIAT, LIU Bin, minister of National Food and Drug Supervision and Administration of Medical Instrument Technical Review Center, Dr. ZHANG Peng, vice director of Scientific Research Department of SIAT, Dr. TANG Tingting, president of ICMRS, Dr. LI Bin, chair of China Development Committee of ICMRS, Dr. SHANG Peng, chair of ICMRS Membership Committee, Dr. PENG Jiang, from Chinese PLA General Hospital, and Dr. YUAN Guangyin, from Shanghai Jiaotong University, were present at the ceremony. Dr. QIN Ling, director of the Translational Medicine Research and Development Center (TMC) of SIAT, delivered an opening remark.

Following Dr. Qin’s address, Dr. LAI Yuxiao, TMC executive director, gave a detailed introduction of TMC, the background and the vision of the establishment of Collaborating Center. Dr. TANG Tingting, Dr. ZHENG Hairong, and LIU Bin Minister delivered addresses respectively. They stated that the Collaborating Center has integrate domestic and foreign scientific research resources, it has provided strong support for the development of SIAT and is also of great significance in promoting basic orthopedic research and clinical transformation.
Subsequently, the TMC held the first seminar on “3D printing technology and clinical application” in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
