Associate Professor CAI Jing, from Hong Kong Polytech University, visited Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science (SIAT) under the invitation on Oct. 23, and gave the lecture named “Precise radiotherapy of MRI dynamic images”. XIE Yaoqin, the Vice-director of Center for Medical Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgical Devices, Institute of Biomedical and Health Engineering, hosted this conference, over 30 teachers and students attended.
Around the theme of this lecture, Prof. CAI introduced his research experience of MRI dynamic imaging guided radiotherapy firstly, presented from the way of realizing high precision dynamic MRI image and other aspects of the system. Due to the high resolution MRI image acquisition takes a long time, cannot guarantee the sampling rate, and the low resolution image is too vague to meet the clinical needs, therefore, Prof. CAI proposed to transfer images to K-space, use low resolution motion information to reconstruct high resolution 4D image, generate the high precision dynamic MRI image. Prof. CAI exhibited related reteach achievements, introduced the method of using gas to measure the true physical motion of the lung, and the defects of the existing registration methods are pointed out.
The researchers and graduate students in the SIAT listened carefully to the report and had a good interaction with Prof. CAI and other associate professors. Prof. CAI also combined his own scientific research practice with the international forefront of the scientific research and practice of dynamic MRI dynamic imaging precision radiotherapy, patiently and detailedly answer audience questions, especially for the discussion and exchange for clinical abdominal motion tracking control, and give valuable advice and guidance.
