TMC employee CAO Huijuan, one of WANG Xinluan research group members, who won the “First Young Investigator Prize” in “The 3rd International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Conference & the 5th International Biomedical Forum of West China” hold in 17-20 August 2017.
This study used an in vitro cells model to investigate the role of phytoestrogen Psoralidin on promoting osteogenesis and inhibiting adipogenesis from functional and molecular levels. We found that Psoralidin promoted osteogenesis via ER pathway and inhibited adipogenesis via ER and GRP30 receptor combination pathway, respectively. This study first pointed out the estrogen and its analogous mediated estrogen signaling regulating differentiation between osteoblastogenesis and adipogenesis.
